From Hindupedia, the Hindu Encyclopedia

By Swami Harshananda

Śākini

She is an aspect of the Divine Mother (Śakti or Pārvatī).

Each of the six cakras or psychic centres in the human body (See CAKRAS.) is associated with a Śakti as the presiding deity. The Śakti of the viśuddhacakra is called Śākini, the Śiva aspect being Sadāśiva.

She wears yellow garments and has four hands in which she carries bow, arrow, noose and goad.
