Idhmavāha (‘one who carries sacrificial faggots’)

The sage Dṛdhasyu or Dṛdhāsya, the son of Agastya and Lopāmudrā, was physically so strong that he could transport sacrificial faggots normally carried by a thousand persons! Hence, he got this title from his father.

He was an expert in the Vedic lore and also very austere in his personal life. He was adopted as a son by another great sage Kratu.
