Nāgapāśa

Nāgapāśa literally means ‘serpent rope’.

As a weapon of war, nāgapāśa is the arrow which becomes a snake and binds the enemy. It was used by Indrajit against Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa. Nāgapāśa, in iconographical works, is shown as a coiled serpent with two and a half coils in the hands of certain deities like Durgā. When it is thrown against an enemy, he can never escape from it.
