pañcadaśāksarī-mantra (‘mantra of fifteen letters or syllables’)
This is a fifteen-lettered (pañcadaśa = fifteen) mantra or mystic formula closely associated with the goddess Lalitā Tripura-sundarī (an aspect of Pārvatī) and her emblem, the Srīcakra.
Actually there are two such mantras: the one attributed to the sage Agastya which begins with the letter ‘ka’ (hence the name kādimata) and another to his wife Lopāmudrā which begins with the letter ‘ha’ (hence the name hādimata).
The mantra has to be received ceremonially from a competent guru.
It is said to be a very powerful mantra.
