sukṣmadhyāna (‘subtle contemplation’)
When the Kuṇdaliṇi is awakened, and joins the jīvātman (the soul), it leaves the body through astral light (through the portals of the eyes) and the yogi is able to see his own subtle body (liṅgaśarīra). The Gheranda Samhitā (6.18-21) describes this process.
