Very little information is available about Swami Kumara, the commentator of Caraka Samhita. He belonged to the later period than Bhattara Haricandra, as he quotes Bhattara Haricandra's name frequently in his commentary on Caraka Samhita, known as Panjika. Panjika is available upto the fifth chapter of Sutra-sthāna. The manuscript belongs to the Madras Government library.
