Visuvasañkrānti

Saṇkrānti is the apparent passage of the sun from one rāśi[1] to the next following one. For instance, when the sun leaves Dhanus and enters Makara, it is designated as Makarasaṅkrānti. Meṣasaṅkrānti and Tulāsaṅkrānti are called Viṣuvasaṅkrānti. On these tithis, the duration of day and night are equal.
