Iconographical works describe kaṭi-bandha[1] and udarabandha[2] for certain images like those of Gaṇeśa. It is of various forms and should be shown above the navel and below the chest, covering the belly.


  1. kaṭi-bandha means waist-band.
  2. Udarbandha means belly-band.
