Śāktāgamas
Āgamas are a special class of Hindu religious literature devoted to the propagation of the various sects centred round
the cult-deities. They are generally classified into three groups viz., Śaivāgamas,
Śāktāgamas and Vaiṣṇavāgamas, dealing with the three deities Śiva, Śakti (or the Divine Mother, usually an aspect of Pārvati) and Viṣṇu.
The Śāktāgamas are also called Tantras. See TANTRAS for details.
