Sometimes transliterated as: Urdhasthah, UrdhasthaH, UUrdhasthah
Ūrdhasthaḥ means the one who is in a high place.
Gender
Ūrdhasthaḥ can be used in all the three genders.
Origin
It is derived as ūrdha + Stha + ka.
Synonym: ūrdhandhāma (Trikāṇḍa śeṣa). It is derived as ūrdha + Stha + ka.
