21. Ūruḥ: Thighs. It is masculine gender. It is derived as ūrṇu + Ku and ṇa elision by Sutra ūrṇoternalopah (Uṇ.Sū. 1.31). synonym Sakthi. (Amara.) sāhitya darpaṇa states: “both the thighs…”. Raghuvamśa states: “The strong uprised shoulders and thighs…”. Manu states “face, shoulders and thighs…”
