Sometimes transliterated as: Urujah, UrujaH, UUrujah
Ūrujaḥ means “born out of ūru (thigh) of Brahman." It refers to Vaiśyas (merchant class).

Ūrujaḥ can be split as ūru + Jan + ḍa.
Ūrujaḥ As per Viṣṇu Purāṇa
It has been stated in Viṣṇu Purāṇa:The merchant class is mixed with rajas and tamas.[2]
Ūrujaḥ - A Sage
Ūrujaḥ is also the name of a sage belonging to the lineage of bhṛgu. He is known by the name Ourva.
