aṃśī (aṃśin) (a) …….| One who deserves to take a share. The synonyms are bhāgī and vaṇṭakaviśiṣṭa. Yājñavalkya states vibhāgaṃ.………………. || which means that a father may divide his property among his sons. He may give the main share to the eldest son or give equal share to all sons. When the father is alive the sons have no claim, because they do not have the right on pārvaṇa.

Sometimes transliterated as: Amsi, AMZI, Amshi
