Aṃśabhāk literally means ‘a recipient of a share of the property’.

Origin of the Word Aṃśabhāk

The derivation of this word is obtained by adding the suffix ‘aṃśakaḥ’ to the root ‘bhaj’ preceeded by the word ‘aṃśa’. Aṃśaṃ bhajate iti |
