Indhanam – n. indhe dīpyate agniranena (Fire burns by this). Grammatically, it is derived as indha+lyuṭ, in the instrumental sense. Fuel for lighting fire, like grass, firewood, etc. Synonyms: 2. idhmam 3. edhaḥ 4. samit 5. edham - Amara 6. Samindhanam – śabdaratnāvalī. Known as जालानी काठ in Hindi.
