• Irvvāruḥ - m,f. urvva+āru. Belongs to the pṛṣodarādi class. Cucumber - Amara kām̐kuḍa in Hindi. It is tasty, heavy and causes indigestion. It is cool. The ripe fruit provides relief from fever, vomiting, thirst and fatigue, according to Rājavallabha. More details can be seen under the word karkaṭī.
