Very little is known about the commentator of Caraka Samhita. He came later than Bhattara Haricandra, as he quotes Bhattara Haricandra's name frequently in Caraka Samhita. His commentary is known as Panjika.

Panjika is available upto the fifth chapter of Sutra-sthana. The manuscript belongs to the Madras Government library.
