Unmanimudrā is one of the exercises prescribed by Haṭhayoga. It is classed among the mudrās or methods of controlling the body, the prāṇic energy and the mind. The yogi has to direct his eyes towards the tip of the nose, raise his eyebrows a little and concentrate the mind on the Brahman as pure consciousness inside himself. This results in unmanībhāva. It is an experience of consciousness that transcends the mind.[1]
