Talk:Transcending Karm through mokṣa:Karm Yog and Karm:Destruction of Sanchita Karm by Karm Yog
By Vishal Agarwal
A perfect practice of karm yog leads to the destruction of one’s entire stock of sañcita karm in this very life–
One who is established in this intellectual wisdom [buddhiyog – karm yog] casts away, here (in this life) itself, both good and evil (results) of karm. Therefore, yoke yourself to yog, yog is skill in karm. Gītā 2.50
The karm of a man who is free of attachments, who is liberated, whose mind is firmly founded on knowledge, who does work as yajña, is dissolved entirely. Gītā 4.23
How does this happen? Kṛṣṇa declares that one who diligently practices karm yog obtains spiritual knowledge within his ātmā automatically. And this spiritual knowledge has the power to destroy one’s sañcita karm as discussed above.
In this world, there is no greater purifier than knowledge. He who becomes perfected by yog finds that (knowledge) automatically in his ātman in the course of time. Gītā 4.38
